Mrs. Day is a proud graduate of both Hamshire-Fannett ISD and Texas A&M University (Whoop!). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from Lamar University. With 16 years of experience in education, she is honored to now lead in the very district that helped shape her into the educator and leader she is today.
Her journey in Hamshire-Fannett ISD began in 2013 as a classroom teacher at the middle school. She has since served in various instructional roles, including Instructional Technologist, Instructional Coach, and most recently, Lead Instructional Coach for the district. Throughout her career, Mrs. Day has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting teachers, enhancing instructional practices, and fostering student success through collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
“As a proud product of Hamshire-Fannett ISD and member of this incredible community, I am honored to serve as the new Principal of Hamshire-Fannett Intermediate School,” said Mrs. Day. “My goal is to build on the strong foundation already in place by fostering a supportive, student-centered environment where all learners can thrive. I believe in empowering teachers, partnering with families, and helping students see their potential. I’m excited to lead a campus where success is built on relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to excellence. I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the district that gave so much to me.”
Mrs. Day and her husband are both Hamshire-Fannett graduates, and their children proudly continue the family tradition within the district. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, especially camping and exploring nature.
She is passionate about cultivating a positive, inclusive, and student-centered campus culture where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Mrs. Day looks forward to continuing her service to the community and leading Hamshire-Fannett Intermediate into a bright and successful future.
